About us
Every human is physically elite.
The Movement Academy believes that every human is physically elite and deserves access to superior movement coaching that unlocks their physical potential and helps them discover what they can do with their body.

Our story
How TMA began
The Movement Academy was founded by Brendan Irving almost 11 years ago, built around a simple belief: that everyone deserves the opportunity to discover what their body is capable of.
What began as a place to train movement has grown into something much bigger. Drawing from circus, acrobatics, calisthenics, gymnastics and dance, TMA has become a place to build strength, explore movement and feel part of a genuinely welcoming community.
Today, TMA is home to a diverse community of movement enthusiasts: the young and young at heart, athletes, performing artists and everyday warriors, all here to explore what their bodies can do.
Our multidisciplinary approach
No limits. No exclusivity.
We bridge diverse yet complementary disciplines to help you move towards peak strength, mobility and performance.
Our promise
A space for everyone.
TMA is a safe, welcoming space for every body: all ages, shapes, sizes, genders, sexualities, cultures, abilities and experience levels.
We train with respect, encourage each other, and never judge where someone starts. Whether it’s your first class or your thousandth, you belong here.
If anything ever doesn’t feel right, talk to any of our coaches or the front desk, or email info@themovementacademy.com.au. We’ll always listen.
