We have some great news for you!
But first up, please accept our most sincere gratitude for all of your efforts in sanitisation and physical distancing over the last fortnight. Although many may not like to admit it, our city is certainly not in the clear, but witnessing everyone’s commitment to keep our gym and all within it safe has been incredibly encouraging and heartening.
A gentle reminder that in the interest of your health and safety, and as part of our effort to control capacity and allow space for everyone, we re-opened with a 2 hour daily training limit for classes and/or open training. And although this is beginning to become the new normal for us all at TMA, please know that we aim to increase this back to the previous limit of 3 hours sometime in the future, as soon as it is safe and viable to do so.
INTRODUCING YOUR FRIDAY LINEUP…
Now on with the fun stuff!
In a further effort to spread out the amount of bodies within the space at any one time we have decided to reopen on Friday nights. Starting Friday 24th July we will be open 12pm-8pm with a few of your favourite classes.
Many of you will be pleased to know that Paige Walker is back on the timetable to coach Intermediate Lyra at 12:30pm for those of you wishing to delve deeper into the endless range of sequences and movement to be explored below, in, and above the aerial hoop.
Bruno Iafelix will return to coach his usual Beginner Silks at 6:00pm to work on building your strength and stamina through a range of fundamental conditioning exercises, positions, locks and wraps.
And due to VERY popular demand, with a slight change of name and a new schedule, Queer Movers at 6pm is guaranteed to bring the fun back to your Friday nights!
When this class became part of our regular timetable back in December, we received some enquiries from movers asking whether this class was suitable for them. At TMA we acknowledge that sitting under (or over) the rainbow can come in many forms; perhaps you have two mums, maybe all of your closest friends in the world are gay and transgender, or you’re even known to jump the fence yourself after a few drinks… but the awesome truth is that only you will know in your heart of hearts if this class is for you.
Regardless, all are welcome to join the frivolities that will no doubt follow this lesson on many Friday nights!
KIDS & TEENS TERMS
Term 3 for kids and teens kicks off next week beginning Monday 20th July!
For safety and quality assurance, we have kept a very close eye on capacity this term, with almost all classes having a strict limit of 6 kids. We are also very proud to have introduced a couple more intermediate level lessons during the week to cater towards our budding young mini movers.
Re-enrolments from Term 1 are complete, and we are left with only 4 spaces free over the entire week!
So please get in touch with us immediately if you have been planning to book your little one/s in, as we have already begun the process of offering spots to recent enquiries from new families.
That’s all from us for now, and quite possibly for a short while as we continue to find our feet amongst the chaos of reopening. We will of course continue to keep you informed of any new changes to the ways in which we operate, but please do not hesitate to get in touch by phone or email if you have any questions regarding the above news, or anything else
Until then, please take care and be kind to yourself and each other.
Sending you lots of love and support.
